day 6 – a time for sanitizing

I was lucky enough to wake up this morning with my eyes mattered shut. It happens often; my eyes aren’t mattered shut often, but I do wake up with some sort of sickness. It turn out – I have double pink eye. Ish.

I stayed home from work today. I have heard different things about pink eye, but according to the nurse practitioner on virtuwell.com, pink eye is contagious and I shouldn’t return to work until the drops have done their job, [I’ll be returning to work tomorrow].

I never had a sick day when I don’t actually feel sick. Sure, my eyes itched & burned a little, and there were times when I blinked my lashes stuck, but I wasn’t curled up with a tummy ache or a heartbeat booming in my head. Today, Ace and I got quite a bit accomplished, and when I say accomplished, I mean we literally sanitized our entire house. Sanitizing turned into vacuuming, vacuuming turned into steaming the floors, steaming the floors turn into cleaning the floorboards, etc.. By the time Tony came home from work everything sparkled and twinkled.

The house smelled of laundry detergent,  lemon, & of course, bleach – it was beautiful.

And no, I didn’t forget – I did try something new, things got really crazy today. I hula hooped while watching Friends this morning. It was a work out I used to do here and there in college & I forgot how much I liked it! This isn’t just your regular gym class hula hoop class; mine is weighted & already, I can’t laugh without feeling my stomach muscles ache 🙂
